The short version
- Screenshots are read on your device. We never receive the picture.
- Messages you paste are checked on your device. We don't receive or store them.
- Your report log is saved only in your browser. Clearing it deletes it.
- We don't sell or share personal information.
Newsletter
If you sign up, we store your email address, the date, and the page you signed up from, so we can send the free Scam Alert. Unsubscribe anytime and we'll delete it.
Life Story waitlist
If you join the Life Story waitlist, we store your email, the date, and the two optional answers you choose (who the story is for, talking or typing). We use it only to tell you when the service opens. It is kept separate from the Scam Alert list unless you tick the box to get that too. Ask us and we'll delete it.
Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies and without tracking you across sites.
Optional AI check (not active)
The site has an optional AI "second opinion" that is switched off. If we ever turn it on, this page and the checker will say so first. Only the message text would be sent (never the picture), it wouldn't be stored by us, and we'd use a provider plan that doesn't train on your content.
Sponsors
Sponsors don't get your information. Sponsor links are labeled, and clicking one takes you to their site, where their privacy policy applies.
